BOWANDE LMS AND BRITISH RAIL JUBILEE

Sir William Stanier's Jubilee class were the largest class of six coupled passenger engine introduced by any of the "big four" railway companies.

Introduced in 1932 the class eventually totalled 191 locomotives and could be seen all over the LMS and BR London Midland regions. We have chosen to model the more common long firebox variant with the 4000 gallon riveted Stanier tender. The model is available in LMS crimson lake and British Rail Green liveries. We have a wide choice of prototypical names to choose from, but only limited numbers of each name. Please see attached list for options. We recommend early ordering to avoid disappointment . BOWANDE Deutsche Reichsbahn 18201 HIGH SPEED PACIFIC.

Available now this stunning 1/32 scale live steam model of the German high speed pacific,18201. For many years the only steam locomotive still certified for 100 mph mainline running,18201 was a unique locomotive built in the former East Germany. The model brilliantly captures the racy lines of this superb engine, with its huge 7ft 6 1⁄2 driving wheels, the largest fitted to any pacific in the world. Gas fired with Bowande’s well proven ceramic burner the model features 3-cylinder prototypical operation. This is a very small repeat production run of this highly popular locomotive which sold out very quickly when first released in 2016.

FOWLER 3F LMS / BR JINTY 0-6-0T TANK

Beautiful gauge 1 scale model of these classic LMS shunting and light goods 0-6-0T Locomotives. Designed at Derby by Sir Henry Fowler the first Locomotive of the class entered service in 1924. Constructed by various private builders and the LMS's own Horwich locomotive works a total of 422  entered service. This included a batch of seven for the Somerset and Dorset Railway. The Bowande live steam model splendidly captures the well proportioned features of these popular locomotives forever known to enthusiasts as "Jinties"

Sir Nigel Gresley’s masterpiece’s the 35 members of the class entered LNER service from 1935. One member of the class, Mallard was destined to become famous as the fastest steam locomotive of all time with a world beating speed of 126 miles an hour.

The Bowande live steam A4 pacific fully captures the majesty of these giants of steam with their complex curved streamlined casings. The last few LNER blue livery models are still available.

Our first venture into 16mm garden railway modelling needs no introduction. The beautiful 1864 built Fletcher Jennings "Talyllyn". Developed by our partners, U.S. 16mm experts "The train department, this model will set a new bench mark for excellence in 16mm models.

Featuring the well proven Bowande ceramic burner and fully functioning Stephensons link valve gear.

Available in Furness Red, Talyllyn Green and Black liveries. Both 32mm and 45mm gauges are available.

The "Russian" Decapod, a classic design from the second world war, faithfully captured in gauge one by Bowande. Over two thousand of these locomotives were supplied to the USSR in world war two, but over two hundred never left the USA. The model depicts one engine which operated on a number of U.S. railroads in the post war period. A number of livery options are available, please contact us for details.
